Using a topology similar to a standard forward converter with special integrated magnetics to reduce component count compared to competing converter designs, PD150 Series of 150W dc-to-dc converters have 3.3V outputs. The converter topology results in 50% more power and smaller size than competing devices. The converters achieve power densities of 90W/cubic inch and operating efficiencies up to 90%.With a fixed frequency of 375 kHz, the converters come with input voltages of 24, 48, 150 or 300 vdc to provide an output voltage of 3.3V up to 30A. The output voltage can be trimmed using an integral trim pin from 10% to -35%; output ripple of less than 1%.
