Incorporating lead-frame technology, the MSAU series of single- and dual-output dc-to-dc converters comes in an ultra-miniature, surface-mount package suitable for reflow soldering. The devices measure only 8 x 12.7 mm and can withstand an output short circuit duration of 0.5s maximum. Other features include reverse polarity input protection, a current rating of 0.3A, an isolation voltage of 1 kV, isolation resistance of 1 Gigaohm, and an isolation capacitance of 40 pF at 100 kHz, 1V typical. The converters have an operating temperature range of from -25°C to 85°C and exhibit a mean time between failures of 2,000,000 hr. Pricing for the new converters is $5.99 each/1000 with delivery from stock to six weeks ARO.
