The RIC7113 is said to be the space industry's first radiation-hardened, high-frequency, 400V high- and low-side N-Channel MOSFET driver IC. Capable of acting as a pin-for-pin replacement for the company's IR2110 drivers, the new device offers power supply designers the ability to use topologies requiring a floating high-side switch. Typical configurations include two transistor forward, half bridge, and full bridge. Intended for use in harsh environments, the device can withstand a total radiation dose of 100-k RAD without any performance degradation and is immune to Single Event Effects (SEE) with a LET = 37 MeV-cm2/mg. Evaluation samples are currently available in both 14-pin dual in-line ceramic and 18-pin LCC surface-mount packages.
