The Series S-T111 and S-1200 positive-voltage, low-dropout (LDO) regulators rely on the latest CMOS technology to deliver performance features such as a very low quiescent current. In fact, the company claims that the S-1200 has the lowest quiescent current on the market today at 18 µA for a low-noise LDO with a 70 dB ripple rejection ratio. Available in surface-mount SOT 23-5 packages, both devices operate with 0.1 µF ceramic capacitors and specify a voltage accuracy of ±1%. Other shared features include over-current protection, on/off circuits, an output voltage of 1.5V to 5.5V selectable in 0.1V steps, and a peak current capability of 150 mA. Price for either device is $0.30 each/10,000. SEIKO INSTRUMENTS USA INC., Torrance, CA. Phone (310) 517-7700.
