FCI announced that its PwrBlade+ power connector has completed long-term reliability tests when cross-mated with TE Connectivity’s Multi-Beam XLE connector series. Tests were performed by independent test lab Contech Research. PwrBlade+, a modular a-dc power-distribution connector, is rated up to 75 A per power contact, without exceeding a 30°C temperature rise in still air. Its high-power contact and ventilated housing design enhances heat dissipation, allowing for high current-carrying capability in a more compact package. It features low-power contacts as well as signals for lower-power applications and monitoring/control circuits. The PwrBlade+ and TE Multi-Beam XLE connectors meet the reliability and performance requirements of telecom, datacom, networking, server, storage, network switch, and power-supply applications.
