Designed to improve the performance of noise sensitive circuits in portable products, the NCP500 LDO voltage regulator features a low dropout voltage while achieving its low-noise performance without the need of an external bypass capacitor. Operating within a voltage range of 1.8V to 6.0V, the device offers a dropout voltage of 170 mV typical at 150 mA, and other performance features such as an enable pin and current and temperature limit protection circuits. The device comes in a five-lead, SOT-23 miniature footprint that is optimized for use in cellular handsets, handheld instruments, MP3 players and other portable consumer products. It is offered with seven different output voltages: 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.7V, 2.8V, 3.0V, 3.3V and 5.0V. All versions are available in a five-lead, SOT-23 package. Pricing is $0.25 each/12,000.
