Designed specifically for driver entertainment and body and chassis automotive applications, the CS9201 and CS9202 are a pair of power management chips with a proprietary on-chip NOCAP technology. This technology is intended for applications with slow switching or steady loads and internally compensates load and line variations over temperature without the need for a capacitor. By using an exclusive output stage designed on the chip, this technology also offers a unique solution for typical external compensation issues. The chips are micro-power low-dropout voltage regulators that are well suited for near steady-state operating conditions. Both products offer reverse-voltage protection, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, and input overvoltage shutdown. Packaged in 8-lead, narrow-body, small outline ICs with internally fused leads, the chips can simplify layout design. Pricing is $0.66 each/10,000.
