For low- and high-side power distribution in hi-rel systems with supply voltages from 5V to 50V, this family of Intelligent Power Switches (IPS) have low EMI and are designed for use in fail-safe systems for automotive, transportation and industrial controls. Housed in compact SO-8 and SOT-223 packages, the devices are well-suited for high-density applications, such as automotive junction boxes, active suspension, engine control, anti-lock brakes, and smart I/O in industrial controls. The family also includes very low on-resistance high-side and low-side IPS devices in TO-220 and SMD-220 packages for high-current, low-dissipation applications, such as glow plugs, direct injectors, and headlamps.
