By integrating a bandgap reference that enables highly precise trimming of the voltage thresholds, the MAX16060, MAX16061, and MAX16062 quad-/hex-/octal-voltage microprocessor supervisors offer 1% accuracy. The devices are well-suited for precision monitoring of complex multi-voltage systems such as those found in networking, storage, and telecom equipment. The extremely versatile supervisors come in various combinations of factory-fixed or user-adjustable voltage thresholds. Factory-fixed thresholds monitor standard 3.3-, 2.5-, and 1.8-V systems, while user-adjustable thresholds can monitor down to 0.4 V. One IC can monitor any combination of fixed and adjustable thresholds. Users can also select from factory-fixed or adjustable reset-timeout options. In addition, these devices feature open-drain outputs with internal 30-µA pullups, which reduce costs by eliminating the need for external pullup resistors. Each output can be driven with an external voltage of to 5 V, even when VCC is less than the pullup voltage. The MAX16060, MAX16061, and MAX16062 are fully specified over the –40°C to 125°C automotive temperature range and are available in 4- by 4-mm TQFN packages. Prices start at $3.73, for 1000 pieces.
