The CM3212 dual output linear regulator, optimized for powering DDR memory in consumer and PC peripheral apps, claims the industry’s highest level of functional integration, lowest cost, and smallest footprint. The device integrates VDDQ and VTT power supplies, a VREF voltage supply, and a VTT enable function for implementing a suspend-to-RAM sleep mode. Integrated power MOSFETs allow the regulator to source up to 2A of VDDQ current and source or sink up to 2A of VTT current. Typical dropout voltage for VDDQ is 500 mV at a 2A load current. Sampling now with volume production scheduled for the first quarter of 2007, prices for the CM3212-02SM (SOIC package) and CM3212-02DE (TDFN package) are $0.54 and $0.59 each/1,000, respectively.
