A new 24V family of second generation, high-power-density dc/dc converters is designed for communications, process control, defense and distributed power systems applications. All of the converters operate from 24V nominal input (with an input range of 18V to 36V) and have power densities up to 79W/in3. These dc/dc converter modules use second-generation power processing, control and packaging technologies for higher performance, lower profile, and reduced parts count.
The family is in compliance with most agency approval specifications including UL, CSA, TUV, BABT, CE and VDE, making them suitable for worldwide use in a variety of applications. The pre-defined 24V family consists of maxi and micro package sizes offering output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, and 28 Vdc. Prices start at $0.42/W each/100.
