Telecomm, networking, mobile, and industrial equipment are among the application areas being targeted by a new family of surface-mountable, open-frame dc-to-dc converters that measure only 2.0" x 1.13" x 0.41 and weigh just 14 grams, significantly less than comparable encapsulated models. The SXA10 series converters also offer a 3:1 (25V to 75V) input voltage range with adjustable under-voltage lockout, remote enabling, and output voltage trim.In addition, the devices carry international safety approvals to EN55022 and EN61000 and meet EMI level A conducted and radiated emission specs, pre-approving them for a range of commercial and residential applications. Other features of the new 10W dc-to-dc converters include nominal output voltage of 3.3V and 5V, minimum efficiency of 79% for the 3.3V models and 82.5% for the 5V units, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C with natural convection cooling.
