Step-Down Regulator Packs Differential Output Sensing

Dec. 20, 2011
The LTC3613 high-frequency controlled, on-time synchronous step-down DC/DC converter integrates differential output voltage sensing and clock synchronization.

The LTC3613 high-frequency controlled, on-time synchronous step-down DC/DC converter integrates differential output voltage sensing and clock synchronization. Its 4.5V to 24V input range supports a wide variety of applications including most intermediate bus voltages. An integrated N-channel MOSFET delivers continuous load currents as high as 15A at output voltages ranging from 0.6V to 5.5V. The LTC3613’s differential amplifier provides true remote output voltage sensing of both the positive and negative terminals. Available in a thermally enhanced 7 mm x 9 mm QFN-56 package, price starts at $9.75 each/1,000. LINEAR TECHNOLOGY CORP., Milpitas, CA. (800) 454-6327.
