Based on the latest transfer-molding techniques and suitable for reflow soldering at 280°C, the NTA Series of 1W, dual-output, isolated dc-to-dc converters are IC-style devices that are said to combine reliability with reduced noise levels and extended-temperature operation. The 18-pin, SOIC-style converters feature footprints of just 1.64 cm2 and power densities of 1.36W/cm3.The surface-mount converters also feature a MTTF rating of 2.1 million hours and provide full-load performance without a heatsink from -40°C to 85°C. They fully comply with the CECC00802 standard for reflow soldering at 280°C, which simplifies OEM manufacturing by allowing automatic placement and soldering of the converters alongside standard ICs.With nominal 5V inputs, the NTA converters can be supplied with dual output options of 5V, 9V, 12V or 15V. All models feature 1-kV dc isolation between input and outputs, while nominal output ripple and noise is as low as 35 mVpk-pk. Load regulation ranges from 6% to 10% and any distribution of load across the dual outputs is possible as long as the total is within 1W.
