Capable of handling the special termination requirements of double-data rate (DDR) memory, the FAN6555 integrates high-efficiency MOSFETs capable of carrying up to 2A, source and sink, of continuous load current. It can handle up to 3A of peak current

Capable of handling the special termination requirements of double-data rate (DDR) memory, the FAN6555 integrates high-efficiency MOSFETs capable of carrying up to 2A, source and sink, of continuous load current. It can handle up to 3A of peak current at the termination voltage, which is 50% of the supply, regulated to ±3% over changing load conditions. The device also includes built-in functions such as a buffered voltage reference output for cascaded bus systems, shutdown control for standby mode, and thermal shutdown protection. Offered in a 16-pin SOIC package, operating temperature range is 0ûC to 70ûC at full load without the need for a heat sink. Price is $1.79 each/1,000. FAIRCHILD SEMICONDUCTOR, San Jose, CA.
