The SI-8000T (1.5A) and SI-8000F (3.5A) series switching regulators have reduced die sizes, between 62% and 84% smaller than the previous generation of devices for the same current levels. The SI-8000H (5.5 A) series also breaks new ground with a lineup that exceeds 5A. In all cases, the smaller package sizes enable the devices to operate at higher frequencies. The SI-8000T/F operates at 300 kHz and the SI-8000H at 150 kHz. Prices from $0.66 to $1.37 each/1,000. ALLEGRO MICROSYSTEMS INC., Worchester, MA. (508) 853-5000.
