Cable Withstands Constant Flexing Over Small Bend Radius

Feb. 1, 2001

Comprised of multiple pods, with multiple wires per pod in an expanded PTFE jacket, the InfiniFlexx cable is designed to provide over 50 million cycles of flexing with a tight, 5.1 cm bend radius. The high-flex-life cable can be fabricated with coax, twisted pair, power conductors, and other components. Reportedly quieter and more slippery than other types of jacketed multi-component automation cables, InfiniFlexx cables come in hybrid constructions ranging from 6.35m to 10.16 cm wide. Applications include automation, robotics, SMT equipment, vision inspection systems, and medical equipment.
