High-Efficieny Battery Charger
High-efficiency battery chargers are needed in laptop, notebook, and palm computers. This circuit can charge 4 NiCd cells at a 1.3-A fast charge or a 100-mA trickle charge at better than 90% efficiency. It can be modified to charge 8 cells.
