LitePoint IQ2010 Multicom tester
A LitePoint IQ2010 Multicom tester can be put to FM test service. The tester’s VSG can provide the modulated FM signals used for the RX tests described (see sidebar figure). The tester’s VSA can likewise be used to do FM TX testing.
The system’s FM test software program will support up to 12 discrete FM signal frequencies with selectable power and channel (L or R). By expeditious choice of frequency assignments and signal analyses, a single test involving multiple frequencies will yield measurements for THD+N, IP3, pilot suppression, channel flatness, stereo balance, and right/left channel crosstalk.
