The PCI-305 sinewave and clock generator fits into PCs and is said to offer impressive performance by use of direct digital synthesis (DDS) technique. Frequency resolution is 0.029 Hz and frequency change time is 10 ms. Generating 25 MHz sinewaves and 50 MHz TTL clock signals, the generator provides glitchless amplitude, offset and frequency changes. The output amplifier is capable of providing 24 Vpk-pk and the frequency accuracy is 25 ppm (0.0025%). The sinewave output supports waveform summing and is protected against reverse power conditions. BNC connectors are provided for the sinewave and clock outputs. Critical power supplies are locally regulated to reduce output noise.
