The TDSUWB software utility extends the debug and analysis capabilities of TDS6000C series real-time oscilloscopes to Ultra Wideband (UWB) RF and electrical signals. It promises to aid the debug of UWB signals in real-time for defense electronics, industrial, consumer, and computer applications. Extensions for the WiMedia Alliance UWB Common Radio Platform offer single-button tests such as automatic band-group detection and power spectral density (PSD) mask tests. The software is available in two versions: TDSUWB and TDSUWB+WiMedia. The TDSUWB provides wideband spectral analysis capabilities for evaluating and debugging UWB communications and radar in real time. The TDSUWB+WiMedia version adds capabilities that focus on WiMedia band-group testing. It automatically identifies the time frequency code (TFC) operating frequency and hopping sequence, selects the correct PSD mask for that TFC, performs the PSD mask test, and measures channel power. The software is available for a limited time at no cost. TEKTRONIX INC., Beaverton, OR. (800) 426-2200
