Providing triggering and decode support for the most popular serial buses found in embedded design applications, the latest digital phosphor oscilloscopes (DPOs) offer 5M standard record length and employ the Wave Inspector navigation and search controls to simplify finding events of interest. The portable DPO3000 promises to simplify debug chores and set new standards for performance and ease-of-use. It provides a complete set of tools for working with industry-standard serial buses such as I2C, SPI, RS-232/-422/-485/UART, CAN, and LIN. The DPO3000 oscilloscope family hosts six models, ranging from 100 MHz to 500 MHz, all of which sample 2.5 Gsamples/s with greater than 5x over sampling on all channels. The 5M record length is standard on all channels enabling the capture of long time windows of signal activity with high resolution. The instruments measure 5.4" deep and weigh nine pounds. All models include a USB host (thumb drive) on the front panel plus Ethernet and a USB device port on the rear. Additionally, all models provide the TekVPI probe interface that fosters communication between the DPO3000 and TekVPI probes.
