Working in conjunction with PETracer and PETracer ML protocol analysis systems, the PETrainer PCI Express traffic generator and exerciser provides early design validation as well as error injection and stress testing in preparation for compliance testing. Features include script-level traffic generation, manual error injection, and comprehensive exerciser capabilities including end-point emulation. Working with the PETracer analyzer, the system generates reliable and repeatable traffic to concurrently and transparently monitor the bus and record and analyze selected traffic. Additionally, PETrainer exploits the company's Universal Protocol Analysis System, described as a high-bandwidth hardware platform that supports multi- lane analysis and traffic generation for PCI Express, Fibre Channel, InfiniBand, SAS, and Serial ATA.
