A family of three full-featured handheld spectrum analyzers incorporates numerous enhancements over previous models. The Model 2650A has a frequency range of 50 kHz to 3.3 GHz; the 2652A has the same frequency range but includes a tracking generator; the 2658A has an extended frequency range of 50 kHz to 8.5 GHz. The instruments measure only 6.38 by 2.80 by 10.43 in. and weigh 4 lbs. Improvements include a larger color LCD with increased resolution, a longer battery life of up to 4 hr. with an easy-to-replace Li-ion battery, a lower average noise level of ?127 dBm, a significant increase in rf input damage level, and the addition of a USB interface for PC connectivity. Other new features include external trigger capability for zero-span measurements and a USB host interface for flash drives. The Model 2650A costs $6450, the Model 2652A $8450, and the 2658A $10,995. The analyzers are available for immediate delivery. All three instruments come with a user manual, ac adapter, soft carrying case, accessory pouch, PC software, and a USB cable, Li-ion battery, and two-year warranty.
