Adding to the P7500 TriMode family of active differential probes for the DPO7000B digital phosphor oscilloscopes (DPOs) and DSA70000B digital serial analyzers (DSAs) are probes for 4 GHz, 6 GHz, and 8 GHz applications. TriMode probes allow users to switch between differential, single-ended, and common mode measurements without moving the probe connections. Additions to the series include the P7504, P7506, and P7508. The probes address state-of-the-art situations whereby heavily populated PCBs make probe attachment a migraine at best. The P7500 probes feature streamlined bodies so that several probes are able to fit into confined spaces. Interchangeable probe tip modules provide miniature solder-in tips plus interchangeable extension cables to enable ease of access to difficult areas. Additionally, a needle-nose style probe module is on tap for both fixed and handheld applications. For greater distance or probing inside an environmental chamber or oven, a 1.5-meter, high-temperature cable and tip accessory are available. Pricing for the probes starts at $6,990 for the P7504.
