Long-life Li-Ion batteries power the S2505 handheld combination of a 5-MHz bandwidth digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) and a 10,000-count true RMS digital multimeter (DMM). The dual-channel DSO provides a 50-Msamples/s sampling rate for single channel and 25 Msamples/s for dual channel operation. The vertical accurcy is ±3%. Record length is 512 bytes in single-shot/glitch capture and 256 bytes in other modes. The auto-ranging DMM includes data logging memory to 17,000 points, 10,000-count capacity, and six frequency measurement ranges from 100 Hz to 10 MHz. Other features include trend plotting; go/no-go testing; and rpm, duty cycle and pulse-width functions. The S2505 weighs 1-1/2 lbs and measures 3.5-in. x 7.5-in. x 1.25-in. It includes a manual, holster, USB cable and software; AC/DC charger, and installed battery pack. Pricing is set at $621. PROTEK TEST AND MEASUREMENT, Englewood, NJ. (201) 227-1161.
