Setting performance benchmarks for signal quality and control for pulse widths from 3 ns to 1,000s, the Series 3400 pulse and pattern generators are suitable for use in a myriad of markets including semiconductor characterization and nanotechnology materials research. The series consists of two units: the single-channel Model 3401 and dual-channel Model 3402. Both instruments feature a maximum bandwidth of 165 MHz with a minimum frequency capability down to 1 mHz and pulse amplitudes of ±10V or ±20V. The minimum attainable pulse width is 3 ns. Said to be the most intuitive tools on the market, they offer soft, menu-specific buttons on the front panel that reduce the total number of buttons on the unit. A simple menu structure promises to eliminate confusion, while command menus are claimed as easy to navigate and require few configuration steps. Prices for the Model 3401 and Model 3402 are $12,500 and $17,500, respectively. KEITHLEY INSTRUMENTS INC., Cleveland, OH. (800) 688-9951
