With a bandwidth of 18 GHz and sampling at 60 Gsamples/s, the four-channel SDA 18000 debuts as the industry’s fastest real-time oscilloscope, backed up with the longest memory available at 150-million points. This allows the scope to perform real-time measurements of the fastest serial data standards including 10 Gb/s Ethernet and FibreChannel 8.5. For zeroing in on jitter, the Q-Scale analysis and plot view uses a method of breaking down jitter that identifies subcomponents instead of classifying them as random jitter. Additionally, the SDA 18000 contains the advanced serial data analysis and jitter software package (ASDA-J), which provides the jitter wizard for set up, ISI plots, and multiple methods for determining total jitter. A bandwidth trade-in program covering the entire SDA product line applies trade-in value to the purchase of a higher-bandwidth instrument. Price for the SDA 18000 is $128,000.
