The N5530S, successor to the company's 8902A for signal-generator and attenuator calibration, sets new levels of precision for RF and microwave calibration. Featuring a 3-GHz (versus 1.3-GHz) frequency range, it can perform up to 26.5-GHz measurements without previously required external downconverters. It also features a minimum RF bandwidth of 1 Hz (compared to 200 Hz) and 160 different bandwidths (up from just 2). Unlike its predecessor, it has an integrated demodulation distortion measurement capability. Available now, it costs $69,160, including a PSA spectrum analyzer, a power meter, and software.
