Ruggedly designed and waterproof to IP67 standards, the 500 series multimeters are suitable for use in the outdoors, on boats, and in any harsh industrial environment. With safety ratings of CAT IV 600V and CAT III 1000V, the instruments employ a double-molded housing and are drop-proof at distances up to 6'. The series includes three models, the EX510, EX520, and EX530, each of which measures voltage, resistance, electrical and electronic frequency functions, and ac/dc current and provides up to 1 kV of input protection for all functions. The EX520 and EX530 add true rms measurements along with capacitance and Type K temperature, while the EX530 includes duty cycle and 4 mA to 20 mA measurements and a peak hold function.
