A new series of physical layer measurement modules for the company's Optical Test System (OTS) reportedly sets new performance benchmarks in accuracy, resolution and throughput for manufacturers of DWDM components and network elements. The OTS9600 Series of optical test modules is a swept wavelength measurement system that specifically addresses physical layer testing of passive optical components. The series provides greater than 1 picometer accuracy and wavelength resolution and a measurement time of just 6.5 seconds. In addition, the system can be expanded from 8 to 88 channels.
