A series of Pentium 4 and Celeron-based embedded PXI/CompactPCI controllers includes the PXI-8186 controller with a 2.2 GHz Pentium 4, claimed as the industry's fastest 3U PXI/CompactPCI embedded controller. The NI PXI-8180 series controllers promise to ease system integration while meeting the reliability requirements of real-time and automated test applications. This series includes the 1.2-GHz, PXI-8185 Celeron-based and the 850-MHz PXI-8184 embedded controllers. Each controller provides comprehensive peripherals that include hard-disk drive, Ethernet, USB, GPIB, and serial interfaces, and they are available with Windows XP/2000 or LabVIEW real-time pre-installed.
