Designed for use with an Agilent logic analyzer, the FS2240 analysis probe is intended for designers of computers that incorporate HyperTransport technology. Providing an electrical and mechanical interface between a HyperTransport device, the probe connects to a special connector that is installed in the target system. It also includes software to set up the logic analyzer and to perform transaction analysis in real-time. Other features include support for both 8- and 16-bit, full-duplex operation, link monitoring at up to 1 GHz, and a synchronous state analysis mode where the analyzer master clock is a buffered version of the HyperTransport clock.
