The 40-page guide contains information on a variety of product safety test topics, including how to perform required electrical safety tests; an index and glossary for quick reference is also provided. The guide is divided into five sections: an overview, product safety tests, operator safety, test equipment and an appendix. The overview section discusses worldwide regulatory compliance and liability issues. The test section details the common safety tests and how they are performed. The operator safety section explains testing procedures and guidelines while the test equipment sections assists in choosing the tester features for specific test applications. The appendix lists several nationally-recognized testing labs and typical values from a number of commonly-used UL, CSA and EN safety standards.
