PXI Multimeter Measures Picoamps To Kilovolts

Featuring a 7.5-digit, 26-bit digital multimeter (DMM) and a 1.8 Msample/s isolated digitizer, the PXI-4071 FlexDMM is capable of measuring current and voltage levels in realm of picoamps and kilovolts, respectively. The PXI-based instrument measures voltage from ±10 nV to ±1 kV and offers eight dc-current ranges from 1 μA to 3A and six ac-current ranges from 100 ±ARMS to 3 ARMS. Resistance measurements range from 10 ±Ω to 5 GΩ. Described as the most accurate DMM available, the instrument delivers dc-reading rates of 7 samples/s at 7.5 digits and a maximum rate of 10 ksamples/s at 4.5 digits. It can acquire dc-coupled waveforms in all voltage and current ranges with a maximum sample rate of 1.8 Msamples/s. Via built-in isolation, users can measure differential waveforms up to 500V common mode. Additionally, by changing the digitizer's sampling rate, the resolution can be varied from 10 to 23 bits. Price starts at $2,495. For more details, call Ernest Martinez at NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS, Austin, TX. (800) 258-7022.
