Radar Test System Generates Multichannel Phase-Coherent Signals

Enlisting three SMBV100A signal generators, the company’s configurable system for testing receivers in radar systems generates simple modulated or un-modulated pulse sequences and can expand to a maximum of ten channels to create realistic scenarios. It provides a wide dynamic range up to 118 dB and a fast setting speed throughout the entire range of less than 1 µs/step at 50 dB. Allegedly as a result, very fast, highly automated tests with complex sequences are possible. The system also integrates an FSV signal and spectrum analyzer that performs internal system calibration and analyzes parameters such as power or spurious of the transmitted radar pulses.
