A Bluetooth Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) option is now available for the N4010A wireless connectivity test set. When configured with the Bluetooth Option 101 and the new EDR Option 105, the N4010A can test the radio transmitter mode and receicer mode functions of chip sets, modules, and devices from development through manufacture. Key transmitter measurements include carrier frequency stability, modulation accuracy, and relative transmitter power. Receiver measurements include EDR sensitivity, EDR bit-error rate floor performance, and EDR maximum input level. The N4010A is a one-box solution for testing wireless local-area network (WLAN) 802.a/b/g, Bluetooth, and Bluetooth EDR modules. A companion software application, the N4017A, performs graphical analysis of Bluetooth devices and signal generation. Prices for this EDR solution range from $30,000 to $35,000.
