The PIM-S test solution offers a single connection for swept frequency S-parameter and passive-intermodulation (PIM) measurements on passive components used in 3G basestations. Based on the Scorpion Vector Network Measurement System (VNMS), the PIM-S lets manufacturers consolidate test stations for testing cables, adapters, isolators, transmit filters, duplexers, tower mount amplifiers, and antennas. Various PIM-S system configurations are available to address the most popular wireless standards, including GSM/EGSM, DCS 1800, PCS 1900, and UMTS-FDD. All conform to industry recommendations and IEC 62037. The PIM-S architecture also complies with emerging PIM testing requirements for testing with two +46-dBm (40-W) tones. PIM-S systems start at $135,000 in the U.S. Delivery is in 20 to 22 weeks ARO.
