Quick, reusable, transportable and cost-effective mobile-phone testing is the goal of the HP TS-5530 functional test system for electronic devices. The tester is a simple mobile phone test system for manufacturers that are starting up production or have medium- to low-production volumes. It meets the demands of CDMA and GSM cellular-phone testing. The tester is a pre-integrated platform, providing a higher level starting point for building systems than do instruments and software tools used to develop systems from scratch.The firm has enhanced its TS-5500 family with such new features as RF path characterization, additional CDMA test software for RF instruments, a phone/serial communication assistant, system verification, diagnostics, and a wizard to aid in creating custom actions.
