USB Protocol Analysis Software Streamlines USB Device Test

May 23, 2013
Analysis software suite for U4611A, U4611B and U4612A family of USB protocol analyzers.

A new analysis software suite from Agilent Technologies for its U4611A, U4611B and U4612A family of USB protocol analyzers features the new MegaZoom technology, offering USB device designers insight into their designs’ behavior, and streamlining USB test and validation. MegaZoom technology in the U4611A and -B quickly analyzes the 5 Gbps bi-directional data of USB 3.0 in real time and drills into the detail designers need. Features include up to 18 GB of deep memory data capture without sluggish response times and complex interfaces, results displayed in seconds, and the non-special mode MegaZoom performing at full bandwidth in every capture, regardless of additional triggers and analysis. In addition, the new Link Training Status State Machine (LTSSM) views allow designers to see the real-time current state of the USB link while performance information is collected. This LTSSM information is captured and stored with the data capture for full detailed analysis. The Agilent USB protocol analysis software with MegaZoom is available free of charge to all users of the U4611A, U4611B or U4612A protocol analyzers.
