The zED-DC-H2, a new wireless sensor/transmitter running on 10 to 30 Vdc or 24 Vac, is a new addition to OMEGA’s zSeries of wireless sensor/transmitter systems. Providing web-based monitoring of temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure, as well as thermocouples and any transducer with analog voltage or current output, these high power zSeries wireless sensors are designed for demanding industrial applications and harsh outdoor environments. The end devices transmit up to 300 feet (without obstruction or interference) to a coordinator/meter-controller connected directly to an Ethernet network and the Internet, and serves active web pages to display and chart the data. Users can set alarms to be notified by email, which can be sent to a single user or to a group distribution list, including text messages to cell phones. The analyst can then monitor and record the measurements over an Ethernet network or the Internet with just a web browser. The zED-DC-H2 wireless system complies with IEEE 802.15.4 operating at 2.4 GHz, and the electronics are protected in a rugged weatherproof, polycarbonate NEMA4/IP65 rated housing.
