Designed for developing third generation mobile communications applications, the newest version of Tau 4.0 offers enhanced support for real-time application development. The melding of the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Specification Description Language (SDL) is also further enhanced via support for combining C++ with SDL. The UML profile allows users to simulate, validate and test their designs in UML. Using SDL allows the complete application to be generated and deployed. The C++ features can be any combination of C++ components, legacy C++ or C++ generated by the UML suite. The app also offers analysis and simulation of the C++ code that it is being interfaced to. Tau 4.0 is currently available for Windows 85/98/NT and Unix workstations.
