Power Supply Design App Includes PWM And Transformer Models

July 1, 2001

The upgraded version of Power Supply Designer software now provides a library with over 14,000 SPICE models, including PWM ICs, IGBTs, power MOSFETs, and transformers. This integrated simulation software package features ICAP/4Windows for schematic entry and circuit analysis and a magnetics designer for layer or sector-wound transformer design and inductor synthesis. It is said to be the only complete switching power supply design solution that provides component design, large-signal simulation, feedback control design, and small signal analysis in one package. A new waveform analyzer in the ICAP/4Windows 8.x.8 revision makes waveform manipulation easier and allows users to write their own scripts to take complex measurements and record and replay them in a single keystroke.
