Developed to increase power and improve reliability and efficiency in high-frequency inverter welder output stages, the 60EPU02, 80EBU02, 150EBU02, 80EBU04 and 150EBU04 arc-welding diodes feature trr times from 35 to 60 ns. Four of the devices are available in the company's POWIRTAB package and are rated at 80A. The 60EPU02 is available in a TO-247 package and is rated at 60A. Internally, the devices feature a large anode tab, which is said to allow more wire bonds to be placed on the silicon die chip. This is said to improve forward-voltage drop and increase surge-handling capability to as high as 1,600A. Pricing begins at $1.30 each/10,000.
