The latest generation of the POWER MOS 8 family includes 15 devices, ten MOSFETs and five FREDFETs, targeting high-performance switchmode apps including PFC, server/telecom power, solar inverters, arc welding, plasma cutting, battery chargers, medical, semiconductor capital equipment, and induction heating. All MOS 8 devices are thoroughly tested for avalanche energy capability and come in RoHS-compliant packages. The FREDFETs have all of the features of MOS 8 MOSFETs with the added edge of a faster body diode recovery speed, in the realm of less than 250 ns. Both device types offer power ratings from 19A to 75A and voltage ratings from 500V to 1.2 kV. Additional power and voltage combinations will be introduced throughout the balance of 2006 and into early 2007. For further information, call MICROSEMI CORP., Irvine, CA. (800) 713-4113.
