Firecomms closes €9.6M funding round

Firecomms Ltd. (www.firecomms.com), which develops plastic optical fiber communications products for automotive as well as consumer applications, has closed a €9.6 million investment deal with new and existing shareholders.

Firecomms Ltd., which develops plastic optical fiber communications products for automotive as well as consumer applications, has closed a €9.6 million investment deal with new and existing shareholders.

New investors ACT Venture Capital and Alps Electric North America joined Atlantic Bridge Ventures as investors. The investment will enable Firecomms to increase production of its proprietary semiconductor VCSEL devices and its fiber-optic devices, which include an automotive-grade fiber-optic transceiver for in-car infotainment systems.
