    Firms select Imagination 3-D graphics IP

    Imagination Technologies (www.imgtec.com), which provides 3D graphics acceleration core intellectual property, said its POWERVR MBX is used in Renesas’ (www.renesas.com) SH7770 and SH7775 systems-on-chip for driver information systems, Freescale’s (www.freescale.com) MPC5121e telematics processor, NEC Electronics’ (www.necel.com) NaviEngine1 navigation engine, location awareness devices from Centrality (www.centralitycomm.com).

    Imagination Technologies, which provides 3-D graphics acceleration core intellectual property, said its POWERVR MBX is used in Renesas’ SH7770 and SH7775 systems-on-chip for driver information systems, Freescale’s MPC5121e telematics processor, NEC Electronics’ NaviEngine1 navigation engine, location-awareness devices from Centrality. Automotive end-products using POWERVR are shipping now from brands including Clarion, Mitsubishi and Pioneer.
