IDC Connectors Accelerate Field Servicing

June 1, 2001

Eliminating the need for tools in the field, the Brad Harrison family of field-attachable insulation displacement connectors (IDCs) simply twist together once the wiring has been stripped and are able to retain IP 67-seal integrity. Connectors are available in Micro-Change and Nano-Change versions.
The Nano-Change IDCs come in three- and four-pole male and female versions in straight configurations. The Micro-Change IDCs come in four-pole male and female versions in both straight and right angle (90°) configurations. Said to be installable in half the time required by screw or terminal designs, these connectors can be used in harsh environments such as automotive facilities, and packaging and food/beverage plants.
