Motivegeeks orders 3,600 GPL units from Astrata Group

Motivegeeks (www.motivegeeks.com), an Italian firm that specializes in security and vehicle tracking, has ordered 3,600 Geolocation Platform (GLP) units from Astrata Group (www.astratagroup.com).

Motivegeeks, an Italian firm that specializes in security and vehicle tracking, has ordered 3,600 Geolocation Platform (GLP) units from Astrata Group. Astrata provides location-based IT services and solutions that incorporate GPS and wireless technologies. Astrata values the contract at $1.55 million in its first 12 months.

Motivegeeks will distribute the Astrata-GLP for asset tracking and fleet management applications throughout Italy, and will add services including personal and medical information, in addition to driver ID information, using the iButton devised by Dallas Semiconductor Corp. and Maxim Integrated Products.
