Motorola Ventures (www.motorola.com/ventures) the strategic equity investment arm of Motorola, Inc. (www.motorola.com) has invested in Global Locate (www.globallocate.com), a privately-held GPS semiconductor, software, and services provider.

Motorola Ventures the strategic equity investment arm of Motorola Inc. has invested in Global Locate, a privately held GPS semiconductor, software and services provider. Terms weren’t disclosed.

Global Locate provides host-based A-GPS semiconductor technology to the mobile wireless industry. Its IndoorGPS chipset is used in automotive applications, among others, and it also provides network infrastructure products and data services, including the World Wide Reference Network (WWRN) to mobile operators.
